My background in Human Resources has equipped me with strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail, which I apply daily to ensure smooth and efficient operations. With a friendly and organized approach, I am committed to providing a comfortable and seamless experience for each patient.

Having a straighter, brighter, and more confident smile is greatly desired and beneficial in many ways. Jessica enjoys being a part of each patient’s journey of what orthodontic treatment can do to enhance their beautiful smiles.

You will see Jessica sharing her proficiency between the front office and treatment consulting; she will do her best to assist you to make sure your experience at Modern Orthodontics is a pleasant one.

Outside of work, Jess enjoys spending her time outdoors and she loves her animals, having her own little hobby farm.

As a certified dental assistant, you’ll see me working alongside our Specialist Orthodontists, Oral Hygienists, and Therapists to ensure your treatment is as smooth and comfortable every step of the way so that by the end of your journey you leave us with the perfect smile you deserve!

It’s been great to be able to assist at Modern Orthodontics - especially during 2020 - because caring for our patients’ overall well-being (and not only their teeth) is more important now than ever before.

Also, it keeps me on my feet, which is what I need. Otherwise I’d be in bed all day eating and watching my beloved Netflix!

In late 2020, Judy joined us, working as a dental assistant and technician at Modern Orthodontics. She’s worked with us for more than three years now.

She enjoys working in the orthodontics industry, aiming to provide care and good service to patients. As well as helping patients to achieve and maintain a perfect smile by manufacturing in-house aligners and retainers.

Judy speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and English. If you need help with any translation, she’d be happy to be your interpreter :)

Throughout my academic journey, I’ve developed a deep passion for dentistry, which has only been amplified by my two years of experience as a dental assistant. During my time as a dental assistant, I found myself drawn to orthodontics, and it’s become my goal to specialise in this field in the future. I’m dedicated to providing the best possible care to our patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and understood during their visits.

Being fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin allows me to effectively communicate with a diverse range of patients, ensuring that language is never a barrier to quality care.I believe in the importance of building strong relationships with patients and am always ready to have a friendly chat.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active by going to the gym, and I cherish spending quality time with my friends and family. I’m also a proud and busy parent to two adorable cats and I love crocheting in my spare time!

Having personally undergone orthodontic treatment, kai Henn understands the journey to attain the perfect smile and takes pride in assisting patients along his path as a Dental Assistant. He is devoted to ensuring each patient’s treatment is comfortable and rewarding.

During his spare time, Kai Henn enjoys playing sports. His favourite sports are Badminton and Volleyball, which he often plays every week with his mates to relax and socialise.

Niomi has always been interested in the dental industry despite her phobia of going to the dentist. She loves developing her skills and knowledge in a line of work that pushes and motivates her and leaves clients feeling confident in the treatment of their smile!

Niomi joined Modern Orthodontics in late 2023. She is a committed member of the team who is always finding new ways to become the best Dental Assistant/ Technician she can be. Aside from work, Niomi loves to develop new hobbies and spend her time with friends whether enjoying a movie or playing video games!

My favourite part of working at Modern Orthodontics is the opportunity to learn from different patient interactions and contributing to delivering exceptional service. I also enjoy working alongside the orthodontists and Oral Health Therapists to help our patients experience a supported process of achieving their dream smile.

Outside of work, I love playing sports, being out in nature and trying new food.

Katie is the Treatment Coordinator at our Northcote branch and will be your point of contact when coming into the clinic for the first time. You may also find Katie behind the front desk or on the phones answering any queries you may have.

Since working at Modern Orthodontics, Katie has really enjoyed educating patients on how to get the smile they have always wanted and takes pride in being part of their orthodontic journey.

Outside of work Katie enjoys exploring Melbourne and visiting new places around the world. Katie has a passion for all pets and animals and is working towards her dream of having a mini farm.

I am here to answer your questions, address any concerns and guide you through the journey of achieving the smile you have always dreamed of.

I can converse in both English and Mandarin, and I also have an entry level understanding of Cantonese.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and exploring new cultures, and I also love staying active through netball. I’m passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a friendly, welcoming environment for all of our patients.

I have been part of this amazing team for 6 months now and have recently been splitting my time between the role of Receptionist and Treatment Coordinator.

In addition to greeting patients, answering questions, and helping with everything from appointment scheduling to insurance inquiries, I now assist with treatment planning and helping patients understand their orthodontic options. I love being able to guide them through their journey toward a straighter smile.

I have a passion for customer service and enjoy creating a warm, welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable, whether it's their first visit or they've been with us for years.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my friends and exploring new places!

In my working career I have always had a passion to help people and hearing people stories, now being in the orthodontic industry it brings me happiness seeing people leaving our clinic with their dream smile.

In my down time I love catching up with friends and family, cooking and going on spontaneous adventures. I also love travelling the world and learning about different cultures.

In the short time I have been at Modern Orthodontics I have created beautiful friendships with the staff and great bonds with our patients. I am excited to keep learning all there is to know about orthodontics each and every day.
