You don’t need a referral to start treatment with Modern Orthodontics. You can book your consultation online, call us or simply walk into our practice in Northcote or Burwood. Booking your appointment is the first step to achieving your dream smile.

Get your information pack

After you schedule your appointment, our welcoming reception team will provide you with a New Patient Information Pack. This pack contains a New Patient Information Form and a referral for essential x-rays (OPG and Lateral Ceph).

If you’ve had those x-rays done recently, please bring them to your first appointment, as they are crucial for us to make an accurate diagnosis. X-rays can be obtained at various radiology clinics throughout Melbourne, often with bulk billing available.

On the day of your consultation

We kindly ask that you arrive a few minutes early for your appointment so we can ensure all your paperwork is prepared.

When you arrive for your consultation, our front desk team will warmly welcome you.

Feel free to take a seat in our spacious waiting area while you review the paperwork.

Your Treatment Coordinator will then escort you to the consultation room, where we’ll start by taking some photos of your face and teeth.

Next, you’ll meet with your Specialist Orthodontist, who will discuss your recommended treatment plan and explain the best options for achieving your smile goals.

Treatment recommendations

If orthodontic treatment is right for you, your Specialist Orthodontist will recommend the appliance they think will be most beneficial. They will also develop a customised treatment plan detailing the duration and costs, ensuring transparency with no hidden fees.

Additionally, we will provide you with information leaflets about your treatment, including dietary advice and instructions for the specific appliance you’ll be using.
