What is Dental Monitoring?

Dental Monitoring is a cutting-edge smartphone app that allows your Specialist Orthodontist to track your aligner treatment progress remotely. So, instead of coming to our practice for frequent check-ins, you can simply send us a weekly photo through the app!

How does Dental Monitoring work?

When you start your clear aligner treatment at Modern Orthodontics, we will use our 3D iTero Scanner to create a digital model of your smile. We can use this to compare your projected treatment progress against the weekly smile selfies you send us via the Dental Monitoring app.

You will be able to communicate with us directly through the app at any time, and unless we need to make an adjustment to your treatment plan, we won’t even need to see you at our practice.

Get started with Dental Monitoring in three simple steps

After you sign up for clear aligner treatment during your consultation, we can get you set up with Dental Monitoring. All you need to do is:

Download the Dental Monitoring app to your iOS or Android smartphone.
Take weekly smile selfies and send them to us using the instructions in the app.
Wait for our recommendations. We may ask you to switch to a new set of aligners if all is going well, and will only need to see you at our practice if we need to adjust your treatment.
